Privacy Notice

Version 2026-09-28 ยท Last updated 28 September 2026

This notice explains what SurveyHustler collects, why we use it, and your choices and rights.

1. Who controls your data

SurveyHustler Technologies, CAC Business Registration No. 9421492, No. 3, Lanre Laose Close, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria is the data controller for this processing. Contact hello@surveyhustler.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and profile: name, email, telephone, date of birth, gender, occupation, education, institution and SurveyHustler ID.
  • Telegram: user ID, username, bot interactions and delivery status.
  • Survey activity: eligibility, participation, response status, rewards and creator activity. Survey answers in third-party forms may be controlled by the creator; raw legacy answers are not moved into active survey tables.
  • Google permissions: connection identifiers, granted scopes and form metadata needed for requested features.
  • Money: wallet ledger, payment references, transaction and withdrawal status, masked bank details and verification evidence.
  • Support and choices: messages, complaints, account closure, legal acceptances and notification or marketing preferences.
  • Technical and security: device/browser information, IP-derived logs, sessions, fraud indicators, audit events and authentication records.
  • Legacy restoration: archived identifiers, email, joining date, balances, transactions, survey/activity summaries, referral mapping, claim evidence and restoration receipt.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

We process information to perform our contract (registration, surveys, wallets, support and requested messages); comply with legal duties (accounting, tax, fraud and rights handling); pursue legitimate interests (security, service integrity, measurement and bounded improvement); and, where required, on consent (optional promotions, permissions and legal acceptance). You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Essential verification, security, payment, withdrawal, support and requested transaction messages are not marketing. Survey alerts and promotions follow your channel choices in Settings.

Automated tools may prioritise risks or assist administrators. Administrative AI analysis is advisory, uses a bounded or redacted evidence set where practicable, and does not make final adverse decisions. A human makes the final decision.

Requested AI analysis

When you request survey analysis, we send the survey questions, response evidence and relevant conversation context to OpenRouter and a selected model provider. SurveyHustler reward-code and ID fields are excluded. We request providers that do not collect these submissions for training. Generated reports and conversation context are stored so you can continue the analysis and download completed reports. Other personal information included in survey answers may still be present; survey creators should avoid collecting unnecessary identifying information.

4. Service providers and international transfers

We disclose only what is reasonably needed to Telegram (bot delivery), Mailjet (email), KoraPay (payments and payouts), Google (Forms and connected services), OpenRouter and its selected model provider (requested AI assistance), and our hosting/database provider. They are not endorsed by SurveyHustler and may process data under their own terms.

We may disclose data to advisers, regulators or law enforcement where lawful and necessary. For processing outside Nigeria, we use an applicable lawful transfer basis and proportionate safeguards.

5. Retention and account closure

Registration drafts, sessions and verification links expire after their stated short periods. After verified closure and resolution of balances or disputes, unnecessary profile data is scheduled for anonymisation within 30 days. Financial, consent, security and audit evidence is retained for seven years; support records for two years. A live dispute, legal hold or statutory duty may require specific evidence for longer.

Legacy self-service restoration ends on 2027-09-15. Afterwards we retire or anonymise unneeded archived personal details while retaining required financial evidence.

6. Your privacy rights

Subject to the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, information about processing, withdrawal of consent, and review of a significant automated outcome. Some rights have lawful limits, such as mandatory financial retention.

Email hello@surveyhustler.com for a privacy or account-closure request. We may verify your identity. If unresolved, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and retain other lawful remedies.

7. Security, updates and contact

We use access controls, encrypted secrets, limited-duration links, audit logging, review procedures and provider safeguards. No system is risk-free; promptly report suspected misuse. We post a revised date and request fresh acceptance where a material change requires it.
